Node BlueSnap Encrypt

Encrypt a credit card number and security code programatically, per Bluesnap's directions for client side encryption for the sake of easy testing.

  • doc.html -- Raw webpage w/ form to show actual implementation of client-side encryption in a browser. To use, copy the "Client Side Encryption Key" from your API Settings page in the BlueSnap console to the line var bluesnap = new BlueSnap("__CLIENT SIDE ENCRYPTION KEY HERE___");; open the page in your web browser of choice; enter a card and CVV into the form; click the Submit button; finally, check your JS console for the encrypted output.

  • index.js -- Use JSDOM to accomplish the same. To use, copy the "Client Side Encryption Key" from your API Settings page in the BlueSnap console to the line var bluesnap = new BlueSnap("__CLIENT SIDE ENCRYPTION KEY HERE___"); change the lines <input type="text" placeholder="Enter Card" name="creditCard" id="creditCard" data-bluesnap="encryptedCreditCard" value="1234"> and <input type="text" placeholder="Enter CVV" name="cvv" id="cvv" data-bluesnap="encryptedCvv" value="1234"> to include a new credit card number and CVV; run the script to see the encrypted results.
