How to get started using example
Get the code
- Create folder
c:\git
and enter it - Pull the code from github
git clone https://github.com/jansoren/android-simple-gameapi.git
- Enter folder
c:\git\android-simple-gameapi
- Select the master branch
git checkout master
Setup using Android Studio
- Download Android Studio http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html
- Import as Gradle project
- Done :)
Setup using Eclipse
- Enter folder
c:\git\android-simple-gameapi\android-simple-gameapi
- Use maven to build code
mvn clean install
- Prepare for eclipse
mvn eclipse:eclipse
- In eclipse, import using
Git -> Projects from Git
- Select your
c:\git\android-simple-gameapi
folder -> Next - Select
Import existing projects
-> Next - The
android-simple-gameapi
- project should be selected -> Finish
Setup example using Eclipse
- Download Gradle

and last Android SDK versionhttp://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
- Set environment variable
GRADLE_HOME=C:\...\gradle-1.6
andANDROID_HOME=C:\...\android-sdk
- Set/dobbelcheck path variable
PATH=...;%GRADLE_HOME%\bin;%ANDROID_HOME%\tools;%ANDROID_HOME%\platform-tools
- Enter folder
c:\git\android-simple-gameapi\android-simple-gameapi-example
- Build project
gradle build
- // TODO: waiting for a way to build eclipse project files using gradle
Alternative method for implementing project
- Import using
Git -> Projects from Git
- Select your
c:\git\android-simple-gameapi
folder -> Next - Select
Use the New Project wizard
-> Finish - Select
Android Project from Existing Code
-> Next - Set Root Directory to the android example code

-> Finish - Enter the projects build path in the
Projects
-tab and addandroid-simple-gameapi
