peruginim/Project-Chatter
Android app for home automation via voice commands. Client-Server Architecture with the server communicating with microcontrollers that interface with household appliances. Example: Can turn off a lamp by saying "Lamp Off." Custom commands can be made by the user of the software, but this assumes the user has coding knowledge. Essentially, Chatter is a hobbyist software package that allows users to control their home, as long as whatever they're trying to control can interface with a microcontroller in order to receive commands from the server. Designed to listen to commands via Google Now, then send the command to a server. The server would then distribute the command to the right micro-controller to finalize the command.
