This course will introduce students to mobile computing and mobile application development. Mobile computingwill be discussed from three perspectives: mobile technology, application development, and user interaction. Thecourse will first overview various mobile computing applications and technologies. Next, students will learn aboutcommon paradigms in mobile computing such as low power computing, computing in an environment with limitedresources, fault tolerance, and persistence. Students will be introduced to and use mobile application frameworksand development environments to reinforce concepts covered in lectures. Students are expected to learn at least onemobile application development framework and use it to implement their assignments and course project.
