Proof of Concept for a dev container based teaching environment in Visual Studio Code, instead of RStudio.
It will test the feasibility of teaching an intro to Spatial Econometrics in R using {sf} - a package with known issues with external dependencies (GDAL, GEOS and PROJ).
At present I have little idea whether this will work, or indeed whether the effort of leaving the (relative) comfort of RStudio and embracing the (relative) unknown of VS Code will be worth the while.
