Zebugger Adapter Protocol Plugin might be an Emacs DAP client some day.
pip install debugpy
M-x zapp RET python -m debugpy.adaapter RET
Will do silly things. Also:
M-x zapp RET /path/to/codelldb --port :autoport RET
For now, use Dape. It's very good.
