Intro

Read this for an intro to the codebase website:

Quick Start

  1. cd codebase
  2. pip install cactus
  3. cactus serve
  4. Go to localhost:8000 in your browser to view the working site.

Developing for mobile

Testing on a mobile device:

  1. Find out your local ip adress: run ipconfig on terminal and write down the IPv4 address. (e.g. 10.0.0.227)
  2. cactus serve
  3. Go to http://<ip_address>:8000 from any device on your home network to view the working site.

Alternatively, you can follow the instructions to remote debug the website on a USB-connected phone here:

This method lets you use Google Chrome's developer tools on your laptop to inspect the website being rendered on your phone.
