Example of Flask+JS for Stefan students (engineers from Universidad Católica de Temuco)

Prerequisits

  • Python 2 o 3
  • Git client

Note: This should work on any platform (Linux, Windows, OSx)

Instructions to run this thing

  • Clone this repo (git clone https://github.com/joseespinadote/flask_javascript_example.git)
  • Create an enviroment python -m venv flask_js_env
  • Activate the new enviroment 
    On Windows: flask_js_env\Scripts\activate.bat
On Linux: source flask_js_env/bin/activate
  • Install the dependencies 
    pip install -r requirements.txt
  • Run the server 
    flask run
  • If isn't open automatically, open your favorite modern browser (safari, opera, etc.) in the url http://localhost:5000 or http://127.0.0.1:5000
  • Try to put some numbers on the parameters
  • Modify app.py and static/script.js and enjoy!
