Overview
Gambit is a chessboard that makes use of an electromagnetic gantry and a minimax algorithm to act as a physical opponent on the board. With this project, the aim was to allow beginners to grandmasters to play physical chess without having another person present.
Motivation
Chess is a game that millions of people play daily. However, at times, one is forced to play virtually. This limitation takes away from the beauty of the game and one’s ability to enjoy the game as if they played with another person physically. The project aims build an automated chess board that can challenge any person that wants to play the beautiful game of chess in a physical fashion
