Linked Art is an RDF application profile of CIDOC-CRM that uses JSON-LD and the Getty Vocabularies (such as AAT - the Arts and Architecture Thesaurus) to describe object-based cultural heritage (see Newbury 2018 and Delmas-Glass & Sanderson 2020).
This repository contains some Linked Art models or templates for my own purposes, especially those that I would like to publish in the context of my PhD Thesis (Linked Open Usable Data in the Humanities: Perspectives on Semantics and Interoperability), most probably at https://data.julsraemy.ch/
(TBD).
Below is a high-level overview of the data model
The following top-level Linked Art API entities - with examples - have been serialised in JSON-LD (and some models are also represented as graphs in SVG):
- Textual Works for encoding the dissertation as its important components (chapters, sections and subsections) as well as notebook entries available on my PhD Website
- PhD Thesis (
diss-0
) - Introduction (
diss-1
) - Actor-Network Theory (
note-1
)
- PhD Thesis (
- Digital Objects for encoding IIIF-compliant resources such as diagrams
- Graph of the PhD Data Model
- Concepts for encoding glossary terms, especially those that are not available via the Getty Vocabularies
- Linked Open Usable Data
- People for encoding myself and others individuals involved in the PhD thesis
- Julien Antoine Raemy
- Groups for encoding the institutions and research teams related to the PIA research project.
- University of Basel
What needs to be determined:
- Encoding animals and non-human entities as Agents
- Activities as top-level entity
