/fetchbugs

Command-line utility to fetch bug descriptions from a Bugzilla web site

fetchbugs

DESCRIPTION

A simple script to fetch outstanding errata from a Bugzilla web site.

By default, fetchbugs reports its fetching activities on stderr. Use -q to quietly fetch the bugs. These messages go to stderr since the actual bug descriptions go to stdout.

Run fetchbugs -h for other options.

EXAMPLE

The following command fetches bugs from the indicated URL for product 'myProduct' version 2.1 in which the bug status is either 'INQA' or 'NEEDINFO', then redirects the output to a temporary file.

fetchbugs -u http://doczilla.example.com/doczilla \
  -v 2.1 -s INQA -s NEEDINFO myProduct > /tmp/mybugs

TO-DO

  • Insert some error handling

  • Allow options to be placed in ~/.fetchbugsrc
