I'm considering using this data to demonstrate working with shapefiles in R statistical software. Would you be amenable to this? I think it would make for a fun example for my students.

Sure, Susan, go for it!
A lot of people have used the data to work with R. But I don't even have R
installed on my computer. I should give it a try sometime.
