Platforms

The following platforms and versions are tested and supported using Opscode's test-kitchen.

  • Debian 9
  • Debian 10
  • Debian bullseye
  • Ubuntu 16.04

spython::2

Key Type Description
[spython][2][packages] Array System packages to install python 2 (default: platform specific)
[spython][2][pip_packages] Hash Pip packages to install (default: {})
[spython][2][pip_upgrade] Bool Upgrade pip after python install (default: false)
[spython][2][setuptools_upgrade] Bool Upgrade setuptools after python install (default: false

spython::3

Usage

spython::2

Just include spython::2 in your node's run_list to install Python2:

spython::3

Just include spython::3 in your node's run_list to install Python3:

Execute python command

Execute pip command
