Is there a way to use #tag inside my view helper classes?

I have a view helper module/class, similar to a Rails view helper one. Right now, I'm not sure how to have the methods available there. I'm passing the app as a parameter but I guess there is a better way. If so, maybe add it to the Readme? Thanks!
