Copy to clipboard functionality is now in Kap itself.
Kap plugin - Copy GIFs to clipboard
In the Kap menu, go to Preferences…, select the Plugins pane, find this plugin, and click Install.
In the editor, after recording, select GIF, and then Copy to clipboard.
