Django API Application

Overview

This repository contains a Django API backend intended to be consumed by a React application.

Follow these steps to set up the project locally:

Clone the Repository: Use the following command to clone the repository:

git clone git@github.com:kibetamos/django_api.git
```
Activate the Virtual Environment: Depending on your operating system, activate the virtual environment:
- For Unix/Linux:

source venv/bin/activate
```
- For Windows:

venv\Scripts\activate

Install Requirements: Once the virtual environment is activated, install the project dependencies using pip:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Run the Server: Start the Django server by running the following command:

python manage.py runserver

The Django API should now be running locally at http://127.0.0.1:8000/.
