This is a DOOM wad file made for the Emergency Room project in the MVROP Honors Biomedical Innovations course for the 2021-2022 school year. It was created using the Eureka Doom Editor running on Arch Linux. Custom textures were created and edited using the SLADE editor, running on WINE. To load this wad, you will need the hellonearthstarterpack.wad
wad from Hell on Earth, which was created by Seargant Mark IV.
map.wad
has no enemies. map_monsters.wad
has enemies throughout the map. It has cover added in for mods such as Hideous Destructor.
If you don't know much about Doom, I suggest downloading GZDOOM (https://www.zdoom.org/downloads) as an engine. You can use something like ZDL to manage mod load order (https://zdoom.org/wiki/ZDL)
The load order is hellonearthstarterpack.wad
, then customTextures.wad
, then map.wad
. This ensures that the textures are loaded.
This project taught me through the basics of Doom mapping, specifically textures, doors, 3D sectors, and teleporters. If you want to edit this using Eureka, reading the docs has been really informative.
