Fix `TestClientCloses` flaky test in kafka client pool

Describe the bug
The TestClientCloses test in the clientpool package should consistently pass, but it is flaky currently.
Expected behavior
The test passes
To Reproduce
Run the test multiple times, it will periodically fail
Knative release version
Additional context
Add any other context about the problem here such as proposed priority
