Macchiato is a new breed of CMS built on modern web-based technologies. Your content is stored in a document-based, MongoDB database. Your content is managed in a JavaScript web application that interacts with the database through a RESTful API built on Ruby on Rails.
Because Macchiato uses a schema-less database, it is easy to use the CMS as a starting point for a custom application. Simply add in your models and controls with no need to mess around with database schemas.
