Welcome to the PsychoPy Tutorial
This is a 4-day tutorial designed to teach you to create psycholinguistics experiments using PsychoPy, a free experiment building platform. The tutorial will focus on how to use PsychoPy's experiment Builder to create expriments, for which no programming is necessary. By the end of the tutorial, you will be capable of creating most any kind of experiment in PsychoPy on your own.
Installing PsychoPy
Before you attend the tutorial, you'll need to install PsychoPy on your computer. The simpliest way to do this is to install the stand-alone version of PsychoPy for your system.
- Download Standalone PsychoPy for Windows
- Download Standalone PsychoPy for Mac OSX
- For Ubuntu or debian-based systems:
sudo apt-get install psychopy
Tutorial Schedule
- Day 1: Overview & Creating an Exposure Phase
- Day 2: Review and finish activity from Day 1
- Day 3: Creating Production, Rating or 2AFC Test
- Day 4: Adding code snippets for more complex handling
