kyledeguzmanx/fDev-website-KanyeQuote
This is a quote generator to showcase random things Kanye West has said. Many developers have a random quote generator in their portfolio, and this is my take. This project had a few goals: experiment with APIs and the JS Fetch API, practice CSS Flexbox, and implement a video background. This project was successful in achieving those technical goals; however, stylistically the site does not represent my expectations. In a future project, I am going to make a completely new and fresh attempt.
kyledeguzmanx/fDev-website-Seraph
This website is simply a concept website. I wanted to create something elegant, sophisticated, and colorful. I also really wanted to learn how to create collapsable side-menus as well as change the color of the navigation bar (from transparent to colored) upon scrolling.

kyledeguzmanx/fDev-website-TypingTestSpeed
A simple website to test how fast you can type a given sentence.
kyledeguzmanx/fDev-website-WeatherAppV1
A weather website built with OpenWeatherMap API. The website will show the location, day, date, temperature, and other weather information. This project was originally for Los Angeles City. However, I wanted to broaden that. Initially, I was going to create a text box so the user can input their zip code. However, I ultimately decided to use the HTML Geolocation API. This will ask the user to give permission to access their location. They will approve it, and I will get their coordinates (lat and long) which will be passed to the API. If the Geolocation API is unavailable for the browser OR the user refuses to give us access, the site will default to Los Angeles City.
kyledeguzmanx/fDev-website-ZillowClone
This is a clone of the Zillow website built with Vanilla Javascript, HTML, and SCSS
kyledeguzmanx/java-algorithm-DividenConquer
You’ll be given an array of (positive and negative) integers with size N . For any pair 1 ≤i ≤ j ≤N it would be possible to add up the values in positions i through j. One of these totals would be the largest. Your goal is to find the largest possible total in time O(N lg N ) using divide and conquer. Note that checking all pairs (i, j) is time O(N^2) and will get very few points.
kyledeguzmanx/java-algorithm-FindHighestSum
An algorithm with time complexity O(n) that finds the highest sum of adjacent numbers within an array. For CSUN COMP 482 Algorithm Design
kyledeguzmanx/java-algorithm-houseHunting
Java-based greedy algorithm. It takes in an array of individual ratings on a house, manipulates each element to give it a new score, sums up the array, and outputs the score.
kyledeguzmanx/java-algorithm-StableMarriage
The StableMarriage problem receives its input as ranked lists. Every man ranks the women from most to least desired and every woman ranks the men from most to least desirable. Recall that running the ProposeDispose algorithm in the most obvious way using these ranked lists results in an O(N^3) algorithm where N is the number of men (or women). The reason this occurs is that when an engaged woman receives a proposal, she must linearly scan her list to determine which of the men she prefers. In class we showed a preprocessing step that could be done to reduce the time to O(N^2). In this project you’ll be given the matrix (2-d array) containing the women’s rankings and need to perform this preprocessing step.
