Hello.
I would like to know what is the state of this project. Did it die with the end of the author's PhD?
Is it considered finished? Is it production ready?

Hello,
this project is indeed in maintenance mode since the end of my PhD. I am still around and happy to provide help or fixes if needed by anyone. I am happy to review and merge any external contributions but won't develop any complex new features myself.

The planner covers the targeted subset of ANML, is stable and with good performance. In that sense it is considered finished even though there are always improvement that could be brought in. As for knowing whether it is production ready, it depends a lot on your requirements. I can provide a more detailed answer if you elaborate on those.
