Getting Started with Create React App

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

npm run eject

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can't go back!

If you aren't satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.

Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you're on your own.

You don't have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn't feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn't be useful if you couldn't customize it when you are ready for it.

Project Overview

Decentralized Video Sharing Platform

Video Streaming: Utilize the Theta Video API to stream videos seamlessly. Edge Node Integration: Allow users to contribute computational resources via the Theta Edge Node and earn token rewards. Smart Contracts: Manage content rights and rewards using smart contracts on the Theta Network. Project Structure Frontend: React.js Backend: Node.js Smart Contracts: Theta Network Detailed Project Plan

Frontend (React.js)

Main Components:

Home Page:

Introduction to the platform. Display featured videos. Video Player:

Integrate Theta Video API for video streaming. Display video metadata (title, description, uploader, etc.). Upload Video:

Form for users to upload videos. Integration with Theta Video API for video processing.

Backend (Node.js)

Main Modules:

API Server: Express.js server to handle API requests.

Video Management: Endpoints for video upload, retrieval, and streaming. Integration with Theta Video API.

Edge Node Integration: Endpoints to manage computational resource contributions. Integration with Theta Edge Node API.

Smart Contract Interaction: Web3.js or Ethers.js to interact with Theta Network smart contracts. Endpoints for smart contract transactions (content rights, rewards).

Smart Contracts (Theta Network)

Main Contracts:

Content Rights Management:

Define ownership of videos. Ensure proper attribution and licensing. Reward Distribution:

Manage distribution of token rewards to users. Define conditions for earning rewards. Key Libraries and Tools:

Solidity for smart contract development. Truffle or Hardhat for testing and deployment. Theta Network SDK for interacting with the Theta blockchain. Implementation Steps Setup Project Environment:

Initialize Git repository. Setup frontend with create-react-app. Setup backend with Express.js. Configure development and production environments.

Frontend Development:

Create components for homepage, video player, upload form, and user dashboard. Implement routing and state management. Integrate Theta Video API for video streaming and uploads.

Backend Development:

Create Express.js server. Implement API endpoints for user management, video management, and edge node interactions. Setup authentication and authorization. Integrate with MongoDB for data storage. Smart Contract Development:

Write and test smart contracts for content rights management and reward distribution. Deploy smart contracts to the Theta Network. Integrate smart contracts with backend using Web3.js or Ethers.js. Edge Node Integration:

Allow users to contribute computational resources. Track and reward users based on contributions using the Theta Edge Node API. Testing and Deployment:

Write unit and integration tests for frontend, backend, and smart contracts. Setup CI/CD pipelines. Deploy frontend on a platform like Vercel or Netlify. Deploy backend on a service like Heroku or AWS. Deploy smart contracts to Theta mainnet. Monitoring and Maintenance:

Setup monitoring for server performance and blockchain interactions. Regularly update dependencies and security patches. Gather user feedback and iterate on features.
