How to run on Local Machine

  1. Clone the repository on your local machine
git clone https://github.com/laxmena/MetOfficeProject.git
  1. Navigate to the directory and install the requirements
cd MetOfficeProject
pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Start the application by runserver command
python manage.py runserver 127.0.0.1:8000

  1. Now the Applicaiton runs on localhost on port 8000, Open the this link to run the application: http://localhost:8000/weather

  2. Read the Instructions or How to in the Home page to run seamlessly.

How to use the Application

  1. Open the link http://localhost:8000/weather in your Browser. Home Page

  2. Navigate to the Data Operations page through the navigation bar Data Operations

  3. Select All Countries and All Readings and click the Load Database Button. After few minutes, you will see a message similar to this. Data Operations

  4. Open Present Tab in the Navigation Bar, you will see Tmax chart of different countries for the year 2017. Present

  5. Feel free to change and experiment with the data visualization form. Following form shows the data representation of Rainfall data for the year 1925. Present
