This React Native project utilizes the Yelp API to get data based on a chosen food category within London. It was created by Liath Academy as an introduction to React Native.
- Node.js
- Expo CLI
- Clone this repository:
git clone https://github.com/layan2k/restuarant-search.git
- Install the dependencies:
cd react-native-yelp-api-project
npm install
- Set the Yelp API key in the
.env
file:
EXPO_PUBLIC_API_KEY=<YOUR_YELP_API_KEY>
- Start the development server:
npm start
- Open the Expo app on your device and scan the QR code to view the project.
To use the project, simply select a food category and London as the location. The app will then fetch a list of restaurants from Yelp that match your criteria. You can then tap on a restaurant to view more information about it, such as its address, phone number, and rating.
