An simplified implementation of network routing and forwarding using virtual IP addresses. The routing is performed using a modified Routing Information Protocol (RIP) implementation in which updates are sent every five seconds. Packet forwarding utilizes a simplified IPv4 protocol (without several options or fragmentation). In depth details of the assignment can be found here.
