Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

Prerequisites

  • IDE of your choice
  • WSL or Linux boot
  • Ruby
  • rbenv
  • Postgresql
  • Node JS
  • Heroku accont(Only for personal deployment)

Setup

  • Make sure you have Ruby, Node and Postgresql installed and set up

Install

  • Run bundle install
  • Run yarn install/npm install

Usage

  • Run rails s to open the local server

  • Run ./bin/webpack-dev-server to run webpack dev server

    Or

  • Run rails c to open the local app console

Deployment

  • Run the command heroku create (Needs to be logged in, use heroku login if needed)
  • Run git push heroku
  • heroku run rails db:migrate
  • heroku open
