Stuck on "Ready"

Opened this issue · 15 comments

Hi. My program is in the queue and it says "Ready" but does nothing. If I right click on the program in the main menu it gives me a Download option but when I select Download it does nothing. Running MacOS Monterey on a Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,5
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Core i7
CTivo - Version 3.6.3 (1229)

Thanks!
Don

Hi Hugh. Here is the requested zip file. Thanks so much!
cTiVo.zip

So it says two things:

The main one is that it says you have ~8GB left on your temp drive to download a 10GB show. Depending on which pipeline you choose, you’ll probably need 2x that or 20GB. So either free up space on your main drive, or go to Adv preferences to switch the temp drive to a different one.

Secondly, it says the system is blocking notifications from cTiVo (else cTiVo would have reported the problem). Go to Apple menu > System Settings, > Notifications.
Below Application Notifications on the right, click cTiVo, and turn on “Allow notifications.”

let me know how it goes!

ok. Unblocked notifications. Connected an external hard drive, restarted cTivo app and the download has begun. Thank you for your quick and effective assistance! On another note, do you know where I can find a Motorola MTR700 Tuning Adapter for the Tivo. Spectrum no longer supports or carries them. Scoured the internet but no luck. Just taking a shot!
Thanks Again!
Don

So “space available” is a weird concept nowadays with purgeable storage etc.

To be clear, 10GB is the size of the original TiVo file, not the ultimate, better-compressed one. Worst case, it has to download/decrypt the file and then transform it, so up to 2x the space

Glad to hear it’s working! ( Sorry, no idea on the adapter. )

Hi, when you reply to a GitHub email, it strips attachments, so you need to go to the site ("view on Github" below) to post the log.

Hi Hugh. Here is the Log and a screenshot.

Thanks so much!

There’s not much in the logs other than some freezing.
I would reboot your Mac and see if that fixes it.

I note that the Mac is set to sleep, so it obviously won’t see new shows from the TiVo until it wakes up again.

Assuming that doesn’t fix it, can you increase the Debug Log Level to Detail, quit the apps and go back in? Then post the log again.
