How to use

  1. File > Scripts > AddBackgroundFill

  2. Enter name of layer (or leave it the default name Background)

  3. Click Ok

Install

Copy AddBackgroundFill.jsx to Adobe Illustrator CC 2018/Presets/en_US/Scripts folder.

Restart Illustrator if it's running
