Using the Unsplash API as documented described here - create a small app that allows a user to search for a subject and then display the matching photos returned from the API.
The request will need an API key, documented here
The app should be written in React, and it should look visually pleasing - use any libraries/frameworks you’d like to.
When you have your API key from Unsplash, store it securley in a file called .env.local
in the root directory.
UNSPLASH_KEY=<your-key-here>
This file will be ignored by git (keeping it safe) and Next will only use it with node
This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app
.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js
.
The pages/api
directory is mapped to /api/*
. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
