The goal of this project is to provide a reliable service of delivering the push notifications via Pushover (see http://pushover.net). The Pushover Broker is designed to run locally on your device so that it is always available for your client code, to provide the exactly the same interface as the original Pushover API and handle internally the reconnections and queing of the messages in case the Pushover server is not available.
