Font Awesome v4.1.0 for Swift
Font aliases has not been ported yet, in order to refer to a font you have to strip all the - (minus) inside its name in order to refer to that icon.
In order to install add all the files inside MCFontAwesome directory to your project paying attention to copy files inside.
Once finished edit your plist file adding this key:
- UIAppFonts
Pay attention that a new row has been added and then edit the content adding FontAwesome.otf as new supported font
Use CocoaPods in order to quick install, you only need to add
pod 'MCFontAwesome'
to your podfile and install with pod install command
Eg. I want to use fa-glass i need to write this code snippet:
testLbl.font = UIFont(name: "FontAwesome", size: 20)
testLbl.text = NSString().fontAwesomeIconWithName(FAIcon.faglass)
This work is free of any charge, but if you want to donate for a beer or a coffee feel free to do it!
