Oscar was a tweet robot used to provide the core features of 3drenderbot, a robot used to retweet 3D graphics content from all around Twitter. It has been superseded by Aldo in 2022.
The source code is still on github for archiving purposes. The decision of moving from Ruby to .NET was due to experience on the platform by the main developer and the fact that upgrading to the latest stack on Heroku was quite difficult.
Aldo was the name of the grandfather of the author of the project who passed away in 2016.
