Legend of Zilda

The Legend of Zilda is a dungeon crawler game based on The Legend of Zelda game series. You play an Lenk and must make your way through the dungeon, collecting keys, weapon, and health upgrades. Defeat imps along the way to earn experience and level up. When you reach the final level of the dungeon, you will face off against Goonan to save Princess Zilda and obtain the Quadforce.

To Use

To play, go to http://mattleonard.io/projects/DungeonCrawler/. For instructions, click on the 'Instructions' button. To jump right in, click the 'Start Adventure' button. You can move around the dungeon using the arrow keys. Pick up items or attack enemies by moving into them.

Contributing

This project has open issues. Development is based on the development branch. To contribute, follow these steps:

  • git clone https://github.com/matty22/Angular2_DungeonCrawler.git
  • git checkout development
  • git checkout -b issue-label/reference-to-issue (ex. bug/fix-grammar-error)

Make your changes in your local copy...

  • git add [filename].ext
  • git commit -m "Concise message that explains your changes"
  • git checkout development
  • git pull
  • git checkout fix/my-branch
  • git merge development
  • git push origin fix/my-branch

Then, open a PR on the development branch on the repo.

Angular CLI commands

Development server

Run ng serve for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Code scaffolding

Run ng generate component component-name to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module.

Build

Run ng build to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/ directory. Use the -prod flag for a production build.

Running unit tests

Run ng test to execute the unit tests via Karma.

Running end-to-end tests

Run ng e2e to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor.
