I really like the design of this theme. It would be great if it was also available as a typst implementation.

Seems like there is some development going on at https://github.com/Enivex/typst-slides-metropolis.

Some version of Metropolis is available in both Polylux and Touying. I wouldn't look at my repository, which was quickly thrown together for an ancient release of Polylux.
