Unlock E220 Worked... but...

philcolbourn opened this issue · 6 comments

I got unlock code from '3'.

Your script generated a different code.

I changed your code to use number I got from '3'.

It said it worked. But I can not connect

Thanks for the feedback. The issue regarding the E220 is known: please also see issue #1 and the warning generated by the program. I'll close this just now as it is essentially a duplicate of issue #1 but thank you for taking the time.

Ok, but did you read that using your program and my carrier's unlock code
(which is different to one generated) that it worked?

Thanks Phil. The E220 seems to be a different beast from the other huawei
modems. The unlock code generator is certainly different. It is very
interesting that the device seems to respond to the same AT commands as the
other modems but I don't know yet whether we can trust the responses. I'll
need to get hold of one of the modems at some stage to test it. Does your
newly "unlocked" E220 work on a Windows machine?

What happens when you try to connect with Ubuntu through Network Manager?
