Actors Based System for Weather Prediction

This project was done for the Real Time Applications Programming Lab at the University of Moldova, Software Engineering program.

If running on Ubuntu without docker, install redis package (Ubuntu:) $ apt-get install redis-server

If not, skip
Use docker compose: $ docker-compose up
If you would like to see only the actors system + printing in console, then change in config.py the parameter "SEND_WEB": "NO_SEND", then go to http://0.0.0.0:5000/receive-sse-sensor-data
If you want to see the web interface frontend:

change in config.py the parameter "SEND_WEB": "SEND", then go to http://0.0.0.0:5000/receive-sse-sensor-data
then open in another tab http://0.0.0.0:5000/

If you have problems, try:

$docker-compose down

$docker rm -f $(docker ps -aq)

$docker rmi -f $(docker images -a -q)

$sudo service redis-server stop

$docker-compose up

Also check your config.py if it is configured to work woth docker or local

$docker run -p 4000:4000 alexburlacu/rtp-server:lab2 $ sudo service redis-server start
