the basic ROR web-app that is going to be the projectlodge community site. Filling the basic at first and building it around the communities needs is our current goal. We also pick up ideas that we find "cool" and implement them in the app for our community members

Welcome to the railcoach-ruby project

What is railcoach?

It's goal is supporting the organisation of .projectlodge projects. You can define projects, users and organizations to make it easy to start a project and communicate about it. Railcoach is under heavy development, and new features will be added. Development is done using agile

Getting started

Getting the app running is fairly easy if you're familiar with ruby on rails (RoR) If you're not familiar with RoR, please don't leave!, there are a lot of good beginner guides this one for example And of course we're also happy to help. That's what railcoach is all about!

Prequisites: ruby 1.9.2 & rails 3.0

  1. clone the app from github Now from the application folder, run the following commands:
  2. bundle
  3. rake db:migrate
  4. Done! You can now run 'rails server' to start the web server if you want to check it out

NOTE: for development purposes we initialized guard for the project.

Who's behind railcoach?

Railcoach is initiated by .projectlodge. This is an organisation that brings people together to work on new and innovative projects. Railcoach is build to to facilitate such projects. It is build by a team of ruby enthousiast, from beginners to pro's. The railcoach team gets together every week, and has monthly meetings.
