either d3 is working or mermaid but not both

hi, i am trying to use mermiad together with d3,
i include d3 and mermaid in the page head

1. d3
2. mermaid
   in this case mermaid works but d3 stuff fails with the error d3 is not a function ...

if i include

1. mermaid
2. d3
   mermaid does not work bit d3 stuff works

is there a way to avoid that?
