System Scripts
Some of my system install scripts, mainly for Debian. Updated semi-frequently.
Debian
Includes system setup scriptes for installing this software stack in debian servers using active and popular repos wherever possible:
- Openresty (latest) [Nginx custom configuration with LUA scripting capabilities]
- PHP (latest, 5.6.x) [Popular web scripting/programming language, php-fpm]
- PostgreSql (9.4.x) [SQL Database Server]
- Redis (3.0.x) [KVS Database with helpful datatypes and functionality]
- ElasticSearch (1.5.x) [FullText Supported Document Index and Warehouse]
- Memcached (1.4.x) [In Memory Data Blob cache]
- Oracle Java (v8.x, latest update) [Java Programming Language, needed for ElasticSearch]
Some platform specific notes below:
8 (Jessie)
- Most up to date build system
- Full support for systemd
- Openresty built with Google Pagespeed and BoringSSL
- Openresty compiler options to enable ASLR, -O2 Optimizations, stack protection and Linker protection
7 (Wheezy) Deprecated
- Includes init script for openresty
- [TODO] Needs generic changes backported from the v8 script
