It's easy to port code from BASIC to javascript, because variables are global by default. A few snags: BASIC uses single equals in if statements for equality, javascript uses two BASIC uses GOTO. A lot. Javascript has no GOTO (thank god). Arrays seem to be indexed starting at one in this flavor of BASIC. Javascript arrays are zero-indexed, like the rest of the (compsci) world.
