Aims: Planning and execution of a scientific investigation based on spatial statistics; Knowledge of statistical methods of spatial point pattern analysis; Introduction to mathematical methods of spatial point pattern analysis and to using analysis software (Programita, R);
Statistical contents: Intensity of a point pattern, K-, g- and 0-funktions, Mark correlation functions, Null models, Inhomogeneity, Monte-Carlo simulations and point processes; Collection of own field data; Analysis of own and/or sample data sets; Presentation and discussion of current ecological literature on point pattern analysis.
