After reading about Hadoop and MapReduce, I decided to attempt to recreate the basic functionality. To do this, I created my own HashMap and LinkedList classes. I tested the functionality as a word count program using an Emily Dickinson poem to count the occurances of all the words in the poem and printing the top 10 words that occur.
