WSJF is not calculating

Hi, we are trying to use this extension, its used to work before but since some time ago is not working as expected, we didn't get the WSJF calculation

Hello, I will perform some tests and then let you know.

We are faced with the same error that the fields no longer calculate themselves automatically. This has been proven to be due to the "New Boards Hub" and the new AzDo UI/UX. Maybe adjust and update the frontend logic?

Hi, there. We are using this extension as well. It is critical for our approach. We have also the Issue if the New Boards Hub is enabled the field is neither calculated manually nor automatically. Please Bug Fix this as soon as possible, please.

Hello everyone, this seems to be a new issue with the Board hub. I'll investigate it further and provide an update. The extension works correctly on the old board

FYI, we are also experiencing an issue with the latest AzDO cloud service update. Our issue involves Delivery Plans though.

In Delivery Plans, if a user adds the WSJF, Time Criticality, or Risk Reduction fields, we receive the attached error on the page.

As of today this is still not working and this is still being investigated. Any updates? @AminTi

The issue continues and we need this for our users, could you provide any updates ?

@joseph-msft can you confirm if this still an issue? It works fine for me on the service?

@MOlausson this issue was resolved. According to support team, it was a known issue for the particular build of the boards that the customer Org was on at the time. Once their Org received a newer AzDO release (I do not recall the build number) the issue resolved.

@hpf-ed @cbadillava @News13 @jdistlr can you share the scenario where the extension doesn't work for you? It works as expected on a work item form (fresh install on the ADO service).

@cbadillava sorry to hear. In what way is it not working for you? Can you share your scenario and where it differs in behavior in the old vs new board? Also share browser version and which operating system you are on.

@MOlausson In my environment, using MS Edge latest version, the WSJF field does not calculate. I have set up the necessary fields, all as decimal, but when I input values there is no calculation taking place. I am using ADO cloud. The work item type is custom, using a copy of Agile process, and work item is at the Feature level with the WSJF related fields on 2nd page/tab of the Work Item screen.

@MOlausson same here, we added all the required fields, and WSJF not calculate, using chrome... , feature work item

I haven't been looking for a while, but noticed the update last week. Retested WSJF add-on using MS Edge while switching back & forth between New Board Hub.
Sorry but still not working when New Board Hub active - if not no problem.

Hi, which is the new board hub ? Im trying to use this extension under azure devops ..

"New Boards Hubs" is a new web platform view by MS. Originally you had to choose it yourselves, but since (approx.) october 2023, it's default. You can find your setup under "user settings"/"Preview Features"/"New Boards Hubs"

I have that disable, and the extension is not working .

I'll check it out and come back to you as soon as possible

I can't get the extension to save settings. I created custom decimal fields and added them to our work items. I can't get those fields to set/save in the extension settings. The fields remain at these values no matter what I do. I removed and re-installed the extension. I turned off the "new board hubs" to make sure that was not the issue.

@KennMcHughBayFirst There is a small save icon that looks like a floppy disk. Did you save using that button?

Thank you very much. I hadn't that disk icon. That solved the problem for me.

@MOlausson @AminTi I have a scenario where the WSF field automatically updates in some Azure DevOps projects, but not in some Azure DevOps projects in the same organization. Compared the processes and all are configured the same.

My WSJF calc is no longer working with the Board Hubs feature as noted above. I have verified this behavior in my sandbox and qa instances of ADO. Are there plans to update this extension to work with the latest Board Hubs update. Are there any known work arounds?

Same here - just installed the WSJF extension in our Azure Devops Services (in the cloud), added the fields, defined which fields to use - everything seems fine, but the WSJF value is not calculated - both in the old and the new Board Hubs settings.

Is there anything we can do to help diagnose the problem and find a fix?

@AminTi I noticed you were updating code. The calculation seemed to work briefly, but went back next day and no longer working. Tested in a different instance, and found the WSJF calculations were incorrect. I'd be happy to do some testing if needed. Would really like to see this working reliably.

Hi @hpf-ed I just performed a few tests, and they worked as expected. Could you please provide screenshots of a few examples?
