About The Project

This project is built upon the goold old Orkut, a legendary social media, that unfortunately, got shut down a few years ago. this project brings back some of those memories, with a totally redesigned interface.

This project is built with the following technologies:

• React JS
• TypeScript
• Next JS
• React Query
• Firebase

Getting Started

To get a local copy of this project up and running follow these simple example steps:

Prerequisites

This is an example of how to list things you need to use the software and how to install them.

• Node JS
• Git
• A Package manager, npm (built in node) or yarn

Installation

1. Create a project in Firebase in test mode.
2. Add a Web APP to your firebase project
3. Clone the repo

   git clone https://github.com/miguelsndc/Orkut

4. Create a .env.local file and populate it with the firebase configs of your web app.
5. Install NPM packages

   npm install // yarn 

6. Start the project

   npm start // yarn start
