The remote sensing satellite company Umbra has released over 7.4TB of SAR data gathered from their private satellite constellation. This project explores Umbra's open data program assuming no prior experience working with SAR data sets.

Brief explination of what STAC is
In this project we will:
- Download Umbra's STAC data and extract useful information to aid in exploration of all SAR assets.
- Plot SAR asset locations on world map and list location names.
- Use previous data exploration outcomes to select and download a group of SAR assets.
run below command, this shows 35TB size bla bla bla. aws s3 ls --no-sign-request --summarize --human --recursive s3://umbra-open-data-catalog/sar-data/tasks
repeat this but just for checking size of all json and tif files (double check if I need tif for mapping locations). Use the SAR STAC standard fields as a list of variables to attempt to read from each JSON file with SQL and output them into one or more tables if they exist.

The SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog specification was designed to establish a standard, unified language to talk about SpatioTemporal Assets (such as SAR images). A SpatioTemporal Asset is any file that represents information about the Earth captured in a certain place and at a particular time.
STAC is simply a network of JSON files that describes the core features of an asset such as a SAR image. Before extracting all data we first must use the stac data to understand what SAR data is available and where to find it. <<< put this stuff in the breif explination further up.

Describe what is included in STAC and how this will help us determine which data (which images) are useful to us for finding data that we want to extract. e.g. if we want to analyse ground movement around volcanos we can check STAC files to see which SAR images we would need to extract.
