EOSIO is an open-source blockchain developed by Block One. It's called blockchain because the transactions are stored in a block and these blocks are chained through cryptographic hashes to yield a chronological ordering. EOSIO introduce a new blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications.
