digitizeTool returns error when closing figure while selecting data

When closing the figure while selecting data, the selectbutton callback attempts to call the cancelandreset method on the deleted object, resulting in an error message in the command window.
This is a temporary "fix" for the bug in which a new figure was repeatedly opened if closing during data extraction that needs to be refined.
