Why don't try adding a timeout after the cursor change and find the current scope?

Keep scrolling up and down in the same text editor will eventually slow down the editor.

reopen the slow text editor (file) would reset the responsivness.

Closing this since solving #4 would prevent consuming a lot of CPU power upon each cursor change event.
