I'm using the Spotify Legacy client (no ads, yay) version 0.9.17, and it seems to work. I sometimes have to change the port, but otherwise it works fine with absolutely no hiccups.

If you have to change the port, I wouldn't say thats very practical so I'd rather keep it >=1.0
